Using the London Metropolitan Archives' Switching the Lens project, we have been able to find the earliest mentions of BAME South Londoners in parish records, dating from 1609-1700. We have collated the records from the boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth so far; we will be adding Greenwich shortly.
